नई दिल्ली: प्रणब मुखर्जी के संघ के कार्यक्रम में जाने से भले ही कांग्रेस के कुछ नेता असहज महसूस कर रहे हों लेकिन ये पहला मौका नहीं है जब कांग्रेस के नेता संघ से जुड़े प्रोग्राम में जा रहे हों। यही वजह है कि बीजेपी ने कांग्रेस से सवाल पूछा है कि प्रणब मुखर्जी के संघ के कार्यक्रम में जाने में बुराई क्या है वै ये पहला मौका नहीं है जब संघ से जुड़े किसी कार्यक्रम में कांग्रेस के नेता पहुंचे हों या कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने सरकारी कार्यक्रम में संघ को बुलाया हो। 1962 में भारत-चीन युद्ध के दौरान संघ के स्वयंसेवकों ने सरहद में राशन पहुंचाने में मदद की थी जिसके बाद तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री जवाहर लाल नेहरू ने 1963 में गणतंत्र दिवस की परेड में संघ को न्योता भेजा था। 1965 में भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध के समय तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री ने दिल्ली में ट्रैफिक व्यवस्था बनाए रखने में संघ के स्वयंसेवकों की मदद ली थी। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी ने विश्व हिंदू परिषद की एकात्म जलयात्रा कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुईं थी। 1977 में संघ नेता एकनाथ रानाडे के न्योते पर इंदिरा गांधी ने विवेकानंद रॉक मेमोरियल...

President Ram Nath Kovind will not host Iftar party at Rashtrapati Bhavan this year, says govt official New Delhi:  President Ram Nath Kovind will not host an Iftar party this year at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. "After the president took over office, he decided there would be no religious celebrations or observances in a public building such as Rashtrapati Bhavan on taxpayer expense. This is in keeping with the principles of a secular state and applies to all religious occasions, irrespective of religion," said Ashok Malik, Press Secretary to the president. He said the president of course wishes all fellow citizens on every major religious festivals. After a gap of a decade there will be no Iftar celebrations at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. BJP, Shiv Sena chiefs' private conversation lasts over an hour

Mumbai : Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Wednesday wooed Bollywood glamour and India Inc, and sulking ally Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, in the party's new initiative " Sampark for Samarthan " prior to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Accompanied by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Shah arrived at 'Matoshri', the Thackeray residence in Bandra east late evening. After the initial exchange of pleasantries, Shah and Thackeray were closeted along for over an hour amid intense political speculation outside. Fadnavis was not present in the meeting, while state BJP President Raosaheb Patil-Danve kept away in deference to the Shiv Sena's wishes.
